When Republicans and Democrats alike are actively stripping our most fundamental rights from us, how can we possibly continue to argue “my side is better than yours” when clearly BOTH sides are tyrannical beasts focused only on securing their own power?
Before we go farther, I want you the reader to understand that I am not advocating a third party. Nor am I advocating for or against Democrats or Republicans. I honestly don’t think I have ANY affiliation anymore, as both sides have become the most dastardly villains witnessed in all of American history. The hell with parties, they are both by and large corrupt to their very core. Their goal is not the protection of liberty and the Constitution, but rather the endless accumulation of power and wealth. And this dastardly accumulation knows no bounds.
As a movement we managed to “take the House”, but we did so by compromising the very values we set out to protect. Rather than filling the halls of Congress with public SERVANTS who would take their oath to protect and defend the Constitution seriously; we chose to believe the pundits who told us we had to keep the “establishment” types in office, because only a Republican majority, garnered at any cost, could save us. We gambled and lost.
The UN Arms Trade Treaty should alarm any liberty-loving citizen. Every UN treaty requires the participating country to turn over its sovereignty regarding that particular issue. An agreement with the UN removes the autonomy of the nation and the independence of the people to make their own laws free of UN control and dictate. The UN Arms Trade Treaty is no exception. It is meant to regulate the sale and possession of small arms, both within and without the nation. Patrick Henry gave this clear warning in his day,
Gun haters and legislators are trying to twist the Aurora massacre into an excuse for more Gun Control. But when the liberals squelch our Second Amendment Rights, they are creating victims and putting all our lives at risk.
As some of you know, I occasionally run a series of posts entitled “Stupid Liberal Hate Mail” which chronicles some of the ridiculous rants that reach my email box. This most recent one, from someone calling herself Connie Kaplan is too important not to share.
There was a time in this country when most people admired the wealthy. We
wanted to emulate them. We knew we had a chance to become them because we lived
in America, the golden land of opportunity where anything was possible if you
work hard. Men like John D Rockefeller, Cornelius Vanderbilt, John Jacob Astor,
Henry Ford, Sam Walton and George Eastman were captains of industry who helped
forge the Industrial Revolution that brought America from a largely agrarian
society to an industrial powerhouse. We were proud of them, we wanted to be
them, and we were grateful for the things they did for America. We look to them
for leadership and guidance. We respected what they've accomplished.
ALERT: The Disclose Act (s. 3369) has been resurrected and it will further destroy the remnants of our 1st Amendment and diminish the power of our grassroots groups!
It is always shocking to me that those we elect are absolutely clueless to the true government that they were elected to support and defend. Day in and day out we hear our representatives refer to our government as a “democracy.” Our founders did not establish a democracy, they established a republic. At the conclusion of the Constitutional Convention in 1787, Benjamin Franklin was asked by a women referred to as Mrs. Powel of Philadelphia, “Well, Doctor, what have we, a republic or a monarchy?” It is said that Dr. Franklin, without hesitation, said, “A Republic, ma’am, if you can keep it.” Here we are 225 years later and our own representatives do not know the correct answer to this question.
I have seen Congressman Paul Gosar (R-AZ) speak in person a few times. He
seemed a likable enough fellow and he said the right things that made me think
he's one of us. He gets it. I heard him speak about the affordable care act and
the need to repeal it. I have heard him say we need to fix what's wrong with the
healthcare system, but I didn't hear him say replace Obamacare. I heard him say
that he disagreed with the Supreme Court ruling, but we could still repeal it,
there's still time.
Men and women who have served in the military know the oath they take, both officer and enlisted, contains the words, “I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign or domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same...,” an oath solely to the US Constitution. But what they probably don’t know is an addition to the oath is being written…something along the lines of, “…and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the union bosses appointed over me, according to the directives of the presiding union.”
As people are looking for the reason of why the court decision came down in the way it did from the supreme court justice that seemed to have the most stringent constitutional sense look to the progressive play book. As we have seen the progressive scourge take on the mantra of “fundamentally changing the United States of America” it has not been the old adage of “One step back and two steps forward” it has been more of the Blitzkrieg strategy of Go Go Go! Turning the saying into “3-5 steps forward then take a step back if you have to”. As there campaign slogan says itself “Vorwarts”…. Oh wait a second, that is the German Socialists party slogan from early 1940’s under HITLER only now translated into English as FORWARD.
In their ruling of the Arizona Immigration laws, the Supreme Court declared the“discretion of the federal agents” to be sovereign over the states. In the ruling on the Affordable Healthcare Act, the Supreme Court declared the federal government to be sovereign over the citizens. These rulings have served a nearly fatal blow to the 9th and 10th Amendments of the Constitution. Now, more so than ever, or at least since 1830, the citizens of this nation must stand together in defense of the Constitution, as the ultimate protectors of our God given rights.
As we remember our brothers and sisters who have sacrificed and continue to sacrifice so we can have Liberty, let us also remember that this ultimate sacrifice is not only worthy of our honor, but also of OUR daily sacrifice and devotion.
“It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us - that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion…” Abraham Lincoln, Gettysburg.
